Building Connection, A 2-Day Couples Intensive
Slow down. Notice patterns. Practice new ways of relating, together.
A focused, structured 2-day (~12-hour) couples therapy intensive for partners who want dedicated time to look at how they communicate, work with conflict, and decide what comes next, together.
This page describes the multi-day intensive. It is not the separate 90-minute Building Connection couples intensive session.

About the Intensive
This is couples / relationship therapy intensive time with an LMFT. Sessions include skills practice and psychoeducation. It is not an education-only workshop. Single-couple intensives offer extended, uninterrupted time to slow down, notice patterns, and practice new ways of relating, at a pace that fits the work.
- Format: Virtual intensives serving Washington state (telehealth statewide). Matthew’s regular practice offers in-person sessions in Edmonds — intensives themselves are virtual only.
- Structure: Single-couple intensives, approximately 12 contact hours over 2 days.
- Availability: Building Connection intensives are virtual only, when both partners are in Washington at session time. Reach out to confirm whether this format can be arranged for you.
Investment: Contact the practice for current intensive fees and to explore whether this format is a fit.
